Partner
Mr. Marek Modecki has been Partner in Concordia since 1997.
He managed negotiations
in the sale of Agros S.A. to Pernod Ricard, sale of Warta Insurance to KBC, purchase
of Multivita by Coca-Cola Company, sale of Bank Pocztowy to PKO BP. In 2006-2008 he
worked as Senior Banker for Concordia Espirito Santo Investment, a joint venture
between Concordia and the portuguese Espirito Santo Group.
In 1992-98 he worked as Proxy for Hilfer GmbH in Hamburgu advising among other
Stinnes AG on financing investments for Huta Zawiercie. Quelle AG on establishment
of its Polish subsidiary and negotiating on behalf of Schweizerische Creditanstalt
and Stinnes to reduce liabilities to London Club.
In 1990-96 he created with Wojciech Fibak a group of companies purchasing
and managing newspapers publishers in Poland, advising on purchase of and
then supervising newspapers such as: Gazeta Poznanska, Sport, Express Wieczorny,
Sztandar Mlodych, etc. After sale of the group in 1994-96 on behalf of Socpresse S.A.
he supervised purchase process of majority shareholding and then sale of
Prespublica S.A., publishers of Rzeczpospolita newspaper.
Marek Modecki was in the past Member of Supervisory Board of Agros S.A. ,
Clif S.A., Atlantis S.A., Metalexport S.A., Prokom Software S.A., Concordia
Espirito Santo Investment Ltd. He is a Supervisory Board Member of Pegas
Nonwovens S.A., Petrolinvest S.A., Polnord S.A. and Director of TIGA International Holding S.A.
Mr Modecki graduated from Warsaw University - Master's
degree in law. He also studied International Law at Max Planck
Institute and law at University in Hamburg.
